Do not depend upon feelings alone:

No matter how you feel, God always remains committed to you. The promises in God's Word, the Bible, are your authority. The illustration below shows the relationship between fact (God and his Word), faith (your trust in God and His Word), and our feelings.

Your faith in the fact that a chair will support you causes you to act by sitting in the chair. The result is that you feel the comfort of the chair's strength. Even when you don't feel relaxed in the chair, it continues to support you. In the same way, you must rely on the factual promises of God's Word, rather than your feelings. Good feelings may come and go, but the fact of God's love for you and his forgiveness remain consistent.

Who am I in God?

I am God's child - John 1:12
I am Christ's friend - John 15:15
I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins. - Colossians 1:14

I am secure:

I cannot be separated from the love of God. - Romans 8:35-39
I am a citizen of heaven. - Philippians 3:20
I can find grace and mercy in time of need. - Hebrews 4:16
I am born of God, and the evil one cannot touch me. - 1 John 5:18

I am significant:

I am God's coworker. - 1 Corinthians 3:9
I may approach God with freedom and confidence. - Ephesians 3:12
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. - Philippians 4:13
I am God's workmanship. - Ephesians 2:10

You get your identity from what you have done.	You get your identity from what God has done for you.
You get your identity from what people say about you	You get your identity from what God says about you.
Your behavior tells you what to believe about yourself	Your belief about yourself determines your behavior
