A group of people came together in late 1984 around a common vision of a culturally sensitive church with an evangelical message, to bring people into a relationship with Jesus Christ and to help them to grow in Him. We called our first pastor, Ken Moberg, in 1985 and from the start we experienced steady growth in Christian maturity, in numbers and in quality of programs. We built the first phase of the facility in 1994 and added the second phase, which included the multipurpose room and additional classrooms in 1999. In April of 2002 we welcomed our second Senior Pastor Jeffrey Hinds. Highland has always had a strong commitment to teaching its children and adults God's word. This commitment and God's will to send many young families has prompted Highland to move forward with a Phase III expansion in 2005.  As God has continued to fill the halls of Highland with families and children our first Pastor of Children's Ministry position was created and filled in 2007. In mid 2007 it was decided to open a second Highland campus located in Weston. On March 16, 2008 we hosted our first service in Weston.
