Highland Community Church...Helping you take the next step in your relationship with God Highland Community Church
Helping people take the next step

We are living in a fast- paced, busy world where we can easily lose sight of our first love, Jesus, and feel isolated from other women. Our desire is to help women take the next step in their relationship with God by reaching out and welcoming women of all ages, backgrounds, and circumstances through discipleship, fellowship, and encouragement.

And this is love: that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love. 2 John 1:6

Heartsister Program This program is for any woman of Highland who is willing to commit to pray and anonymously encourage another woman with cards and small gifts.

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPs) The MOPS International program at Highland is about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections, and experiencing God's love through relationships and resources. The purpose of MOPS International is to encourage, equip, and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother, and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
MOPS exists for all moms who share the similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month during the school year at Highland.
They also meet the same Tuesdays, during the summer, for times of fun at local parks.  Childcare is limited during the school year so please call if you are interested in attending.

Divorce Care Ministry The purpose of this ministry is to help people (women and men) who are going through or have gone through divorce. The meetings are held at Highland.

If you are struggling as a result of divorce and would like to meet with a group of people for encouragement, please attend this first meeting. If you know of anyone who is struggling as a result of divorce, then please encourage that person to attend. The focus of DivorceCare is to help foster new growth out of difficult and overwhelming circumstances, and the aim of the ministry is to do so from a biblical perspective.

DivorceCare Ministry consists of 13 group meetings with video sessions on various topics related to divorce, such as loneliness, anger, finances and forgiveness, followed by discussion and encouragement. There is flexibility built into DivorceCare, so that a person may join the group at any time. Each week a different topic is addressed.

The group is facilitated by Scott Trull. Scott and his late wife, Dianne, operated New Directions Biblical Counseling Ministry. Scott and Dianne developed that ministry as an outgrowth of years of ministry to people in struggling marriages. Scott is a godly man with a shepherd's heart.

If you have any questions about this ministry, please contact Scott at 359-4835 (home) or Pastor Dan at 842-5683.
