The Mission of Highland Community Church's men's ministry is to provide men with resources to develop godly character, and to equip them to influence their world for Christ.
Becoming a Christian is not a destination; it is the beginning step of a lifelong journey.
We pray the men's ministry of Highland and this web page will help some men to take their next step in their walk with God.
Highland's Men's Ministry is dedicated to helping men be the godly men God calls us to be. God calls us to be the spiritual leader of the family but that does not mean dominating the family. It means serving your family, and being a godly example to your wife, children, and others. What are the characteristics of a godly man? We would be glad to help you discover what the Bible says about this and how you can become a man of integrity.

| Men's Social Events | Men enjoy a day of shooting practice each summer as they sight in their guns, gather for a devotional, and enjoy manly fellowship over good food. Other recent men's events have included a pistol shoot, an early morning breakfast together at a local restaurant and a Wild Beast Feast. All men are welcome to attend. |

| Survivor Canada | Men from Highland experienced the outdoors of Quetico Canada in 2005 and 2007 while having the opportunity to deepen their relationship with Christ. Quetico is a large, very remote area, with unsurpassed beauty, extraordinary fishing, and endless opportunity to relax. |
| Men's Open Gym | You can join other men on Thursday nights from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. for a night of sports from September - April each year. Basketball is usually in the plan. Exact games depend on the number of participants each week. Male youth (age 14 and above) may participate when accompanied by an adult. Childcare is not provided and it is not recommended that children be brought to this event. |
| Divorce Care Ministry | The purpose of this ministry is to help people (women and men) who are going through or have gone through divorce. The meetings are held at Highland.
If you are struggling as a result of divorce and would like to meet with a group of people for encouragement, please attend this first meeting. If you know of anyone who is struggling as a result of divorce, then please encourage that person to attend. The focus of DivorceCare is to help foster new growth out of difficult and overwhelming circumstances, and the aim of the ministry is to do so from a biblical perspective. DivorceCare Ministry consists of 13 group meetings with video sessions on various topics related to divorce, such as loneliness, anger, finances and forgiveness, followed by discussion and encouragement. There is flexibility built into DivorceCare, so that a person may join the group at any time. Each week a different topic is addressed.
